- Have a great scout team: One of the best aspects of Football Manager is scouting. Finding and developing a young player is the most satisfying thing in this game without doubt. Of course, in order to do that, you must have a great scout team. Sign as many scouts you can with at least +16 player ability / potential judgement. Then assign scouting missions all around the world.
- Use a third-party scouting tool: Feel like cheating a little? You can skip the first step by using a third-party scout tool. Such as Genie Scout, FMSE, and FM scout editor. That way you can finds regens with one single click. But of course, this method is considered cheating and may reduce the fun.
- Raise your own regens: Your club does youth intakes each year so that you can sign regens. In order to recruit top tier regens, your club must have great youth facilities and a top tier head of youth development. All in all, it is a long process but totally worth investing.
